What is Disease?

Disease is our friend.
Cause of all Diseases are one.
Accumulation of filth in the body causes disease.

5 Subtle foods

1. Ether

What is Ether? Its the space the emptiness allowing the body to feast on space. When we are feasting on ether we do not consume anything. Even water is consumed according to the thirst.

2. Air

Prana means air, yama means to control. We exercise our lungs by controlling the air we breathe. Without prana we cannot live. Air is vital but we are born with a certain credit balance of vitality. We need to take care of it. Practice pranayama with Antara Kumbhaka and Bahya Kumbhaka. eg:- Hanuman is the son of Vayu, breathe in lift heavy weights, like the way he lifts the hill.

3. Sunlight

Sunlight is a food for our body. Sunbathing everyday for 5 to 10 min helps us assimilate vitamin D, which helps us to absorb vitamin D and other need nutrients.Sunbathing should be done for 5 to 10mins to get the sunlight not heat the body. The face and head should be covered with a wet towel or kept in shade. The entire body parts should be exposed to the sun.

4. Water 

Water's property is to cool and cleanse.Water helps digestion. Water is another food available in plenty in fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables purify the water and we get to have pure form of water. eg:- Lotus grows in dirty water but its so beautiful, the seeds and stem are also consumed.Plants use the best kind of filters.Water is also used for healing,

5. Earth

Earth gives vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts, roots.
Our body is made up of 80% alkaline.
Vegetables are alkaline foods.
Fruits are mild acidic.
grains( pulses, rice,wheat, millets )  are acidic and dry ( to be taken in moderation ).

To understand how to eat and what to eat we need to understand the following :-
  • Change your habits 
  • Follow the 5 principles of nature cure.
  • Do not check your body.
What can one eat to improve health?
  1. Water rich food. 
  2. Like mono fruits for one meal.
  3. Raw vegetable salads without salt for another meal.
  4. Cooked meals with only 20% grain ( pulses, rice, wheat, millets) 80% vegetables. 
How does one do that?

Eg:- one can use a kitchen weighing scale measure 20gm rice plus pulses and 80gm vegetables ... 

Vegetables are alkaline when you eat more vegetables you stay satiated for long... 
Acidic food causes hunger quickly.

Why no salt in salads ? because salt is a preservative, plus it attracts water as it has sodium... When one has salad with out salt, it keeps one's body hydrated. You don't need to drink water often and tax your kidneys.

Vegetables and fruits have their own filters and can give us the purest form of minerals and water content.

Question arises:- How much fruit should one eat at a time? One can eat up to a minimum of 800gm of mono fruit ... It should be a meal by itself. Do not mix with any cooked food. If you eat only one vareity of fruit at one time, there is no spike in sugar levels etc..  Very important do not eat anything else for 2 to 3 hrs after it.

Salad one should have a minimum of 350gm to 500gm as a single meal. Chew well.

Adding salt after cooking your food is ideal as the food requires lesser salt and one does not get thirsty while eating or even after eating. Eat water rich meals.

Turmeric and Ghee are a kind of preservatives, when one wants to move towards health and loose weight avoid it completely. Both try to preserve the food in the body and slow down digestion.

Many have acidity and gas after eating a cooked meal, when one uses sprouts instead of polished dals and 80% vegetables this problem is gone over time. Instead of toordal substitute for green gram or toordal sprouts( sprouts need not be very big, the minute the seeds start to sprout one can use )

Protein is present in greens, sprouts, Cocount, nuts ... Which is sufficient for one's body.

Non-Crisis Diet to Improve Health 

Vegetable Juices

As our body is 80% alkaline we need to take alkaline diet. Vegetables are alkaline taken on an empty stomach is highly beneficial. Every sip should be played in the mouth and then swallowed.

Breakfast ( 10 PM )

A good breakfast is water and fibre rich food can be a good salad or a mono fruit.

Lunch ( 1:30 PM )

if you have taken a salad for breakfast take a good amount of mono fruit.

Dinner ( around 5:30 PM)

Conservative cooking without oil...

Greens (கீரை/ఆకు కూర) Curry

  KEERAI KOOTU ( Recipe serves 5 ) Keerai kootu as it is called in Tamil nadu got my fancy as its tasty and is nature cure compliant. An easy to make and a very tasty rich dish, can be eaten with millets/ rice or vegetable dosa or even a vegetable chappati. Indegenious rice like Rajamudi rice,Thoyamali rice tastes very good. Keerai or Greens can be anything like Palak, Amaranthus Vareities ( Sirri keerai, Thandu keerai, Arrai Keerai ), Ceylon spinach. Take 200 ml water in a pot boil well. Added 1/2 inch shredded ginger and  jeera powder. Wash and finely chop 2 bundles of palak ( roughly 500gm ) and add to boiling water. Cover and keep in high for just 2 min. Switch off the gas and do not open lid for 10 min. After this no cooking only blending and mixing. Remove the leaves and cool. Puree the palak and add to the remaining hot water in the pot. Also add chopped boiled potatoes 2 or 3 (About 300gms ). Always keep pot covered. Mixie half coconut with green chilli, lots of curry ...

Yellow pumpkin soup -NC

 Yellow pumpkin soup the nature cure way Ingredients:- Yellow pumpkin - 250 gms cut as steamed with one green chilli. Ginger 2 to 4 mint leaves Few leaves of Rosemary Thick Coconut milk Salt to taste Procedure:- 1) Wash and cut the pumpkin with the skin if it's organic and steam it with a green chilli and a closed lid till just cooked but firm... So not over cook. 2) puree well with about 200 ml of water . Add few leaves of mint , half tsp grated ginger ,few leaves of thyme and rosemary. Bring to boil and switch off the stove 3) add one cup of freshly extracted  thick coconut milk. 4) add salt to taste... 5) This is a thick soup and very delicious... Very important coconut milk to be added only after the heat under the soup is switched off.. Enjoy your soup 😋

Simple hair care

 Aa.... A topic that is so touchy for many. I remember as a child my parents telling me the best way to take care of your hair is apply coconut oil and wash with Reetha / Shikkakai. I was like mom what do you understand the pains of combing the hair.. Hair is so frizzy and the struggles went on to breaking and hair thinning etc...  Went on to try the so called so many conditioners... I noticed it helped temporarily and definately did not feel good by the 2nd day ... 😏  Finally came to a point of balding. Tried even the onion juice , hair creams and infused oils, and lastly tried out even the ayurvedic brands like vedix. etc... All these trials made me think more ... In these trials I understood self made hair creams worked ... Reetha and shikkai worked ... But how much care do we need for the scalp and hair I went on to experiment... And the following helped... Will explain the why and the science behind it too... 1) Being on the nature cure way of life helped as we eat ...
